If you want
to get better at whatever that you do, you need to learn to love the process of
showing your worst and showing it often.
The more the
uglier side of your craft or art shows itself, the better you get. Showing it
means you practicing it. Every day. The embarrassment often holds you back. The
pain often holds you back. The only way to free yourself from the chains of embarrassment
and pain is via practice. Often enough, deliberate enough. That’s how you get
better. Learn to love the process of getting better.
Is there a
shortcut?
