What have you learned?

There is a simple way to improve for next year. Review your year, if you write down your appointments and such, they are good memory joggers. Write down the good, the bad and the ugly. Look at 3 good that you will make into a habit and repeat. Look for 3 bad that you will stop. Look for 3 ugly that you will make prettier next year.

Don’t just leave it at that. Review it every month when next year comes along. Write down these reviews. When December of next year comes, you can see how far you have come.

What can you give?

Giving is a habit. If you can’t give when you have little, you probably can’t give when you have more. This works not just for money.

What is your Kung Fu?

Strive to be the best in your field.

Are you too wasted to breathe yet?

So what do you do?

When you fall, when you screw up, when you face a setback.
Best that you can do is not to beat yourself up. But learn, let go and grow.
Grow from the experience. You can and you will.

How do you convince them?

In many circumstances, you can’t. What they know they ‘know’ is the ‘truth’.

Sometimes, it is better to keep your sanity and walk away even if it means you will go hungry.

How will they understand?

How fashionable are you?

Don’t follow the latest marketing/advertising trend just because it is the fad now. Whatever-social-whatever-app-gizmo-platform will only hurt you. It’s more productive if you use the time to learn the principles of marketing and persuasion.

Get these basics right, then you can manipulate them according to the principles to your benefit. Learn about their pros and cons and you can devise your own effective campaign.

What trends are you following?

Where should you stand?

Some entrepreneurs look at a segment of the market and see that it is under served, they see lots of opportunities. They fail to see that perhaps there is a reason why it is under served. If you serve this market, may be you have to spend a lot to educate the market about your services.

Some entrepreneurs look at a segment of the market and see it being over served; they see an opportunity to sell at the cheapest to beat the market. If you serve this market, you compete with so many competitors that getting the volume to make up for the thin profit is almost impossible.

The answer sometimes lies in the middle - just enough competitors to show you that there is a market to have enough volume and to have enough profits.
What’s your position?

How about now?

There is no need to wait for the new year to make plans for next year. No need to make New Year resolutions in the new year.

Make them now. Then start on them. Get a head start. Beta test your resolutions if you will. It will allow for time to tweak them.

When are you starting?

When should you attend to it?

You can simplify your life by just simply doing things a little earlier than a moment too late. When you think, “ah…this can wait” – don’t. That should be the trigger to do it then and there.

If you spend less time now dealing with the important stuff, you will spend more time in the future panicking over urgent and important stuff.

Simplify by ensuring the important doesn’t become urgent AND important.
The trick is to do it earlier or do it now.
