Did you do your homework?

Always do your homework. This advice doesn’t end when you leave school. Always do the background work and care enough to educate yourself with the topic to be discussed or presented. That is your homework. I would even say that is your moral obligation. Otherwise, you waste your time and you waste everybody’s time with unrelated questions. No one should care about explaining the background and basics to you if you don’t have the self-respect to do your homework diligently.

Why do you have to give your best?

Because nothing else matters. Especially when you are in a crisis. There is no use worrying. You can’t control it for sure. But you can give it less attention by refocusing on what you can do. In fact, when you focus on what you can do and give it your best, the worries melt away. Worries grow out of the fertile soil of non-action. Act. Act like you will succeed. Act with in your best. Anything else is unacceptable.

Do your best so that the best happens to you.

What did you consume for breakfast?

Let me guess. Your ripe negative thoughts, your hot anxieties and your stress from yesterday that brewed the whole night.

What do you want for breakfast?

How did that make you feel?

Every artist, every creative person goes though the anxiety of producing a piece of work. From fighting resistance to getting it out into the open. Then the fear of being criticised and judged.

If you have ever prepared a presentation and made to present it when it is completed? You will go through this. You are an artist now.

Feel the fear and do it anyway. Many in the world won’t even produce their art to show you. They prefer to hide behind their curtain of criticism of your work so you forget you didn’t see theirs.
