You will be surprised with the number of people who thinks
they are both. Dictionary.com defines effective as “adequate to accomplish a purpose; producing the intended or expected result.” Efficient is defined as “performing
or functioning in the best possible manner with the least waste of time and
effort.”
When you produce the intended result in the best possible manner with the least waste of time and effort, then you are both effective and
efficient.
It’s not impossible to be both. But rare.
