I don’t think you can just think-out-of-the-box in some single session meeting or course or whatever. It’s a nice exercise. But after that, you will go back to your habits.
To think-out-of-the-box, you need to live out of the box, feel out of the box. You need to start to be comfortable with breaking your daily habits. Eat something different, take a different route to work, learn to be impromptu – now and then. If you aren’t comfortable doing these things, it is likely your thinking out of the box didn’t jump out from the box.
Thinking out of the box involves being comfortable with being uncomfortable.
