Do you want it done?


When you call an industry doyen (and I would define it as someone with say 20 years of experience and above) for a favour, think through your relationship with this person, what is the favour that you want and who are you doing it for.

Favours from industry doyens are priceless. A call can solve a challenge that probably takes more than ten from your end. Some favours rely on them pulling favours from others. These relationships in their network are built over the years. They nurtured the relationships via favours and friendship.

Think through in detail what it is that you need and how much information can you divulge in order to get that favour. If you are holding things back, better not waste their time and effort.
