It’s always nice to call the shots and be the final decision maker. Even nicer if you are egoistical and there is no one willing to challenge you. Because you get what you want, eventually.
Eventually, people stay away from you. They stop challenging you. Not because you are smarter or that you have more experience but because people can sense your unwillingness to listen.
