It’s
always personal, especially when it matters.
People
who have the drive to make something succeed always take it personally. You
name them - freedom fighters, revolutionaries in politics and business, drivers
of private and public endevours. They all take it personally. Try attacking their ideas and try telling them not to take it personally.
“Hey,
Steve your iPhone idea sucks! Please don’t take it personally.”
“Hey,
Mao this Long March crap, it sucks! Please don’t take it personally.”
Let’s
face it, if it doesn’t eat you up it probably doesn’t matter much to you.
Things
that matter, we take personally.
