Some people like to hide their laziness to write a plan, to adhere to principles, to understand the intricacies of the business and to work around them behind the excuse of “thinking out of the box”, to be “unconventional”.
Even if you want to “think out of the box”, to be “unconventional”, to “challenge the conventions”, you need to understand the underlying principles. Unless, you can state those clearly and know which one you want to challenge, you are going to fail. Unless, you understand the principles thoroughly you won’t know which ones to exploit. Before you master all the principles within it, how would you know which can’t be compromised and which can be challenged?
If you did not make an effort to do your homework and then to master those intricacies, but execute anyway, it’s just at best an audacious move.
Did you do your homework?
